Short History of Conner's Awnings

Conner’s Awnings has been in business for over 70 years. The company was started in Haverford Pennsylvania by the Conner Brothers. Upon their retirement, Conner’s was purchased by Bob Roma, a Princeton graduate working in the pharmaceutical industry. Bob's family had been in the construction business so the thought of running a business within that industry was highly appealing to Bob. Bob ran the business for more than 30 years until his death in 2020. While some aspects of the business have come and gone, the one constant has always been awnings. The business has been passed down to his son-in-law, Zachary Hay, thus keeping it in the family.

Zachary Hay, Owner

Zach is a certified civil engineer with an excellent background and education to be successful in the awning business. Prior to taking ownership, Zach worked part time on weekends learning the ins and outs of the business. He will be the primary point of contact for the business moving forward. He is looking forward to continuing the provide the excellent customer service that Bob prided himself on and that his customers have come to expect.
